We accept most dental plans and will submit to the insurance carrier on your behalf. It is important to remember that your insurance policy is a contract between you, your employer and the insurance carrier. The patient is ultimately responsible for their account and any discrepancy regarding reimbursement will be between the patient and insurance carrier. The patient is also responsible for any outstanding balances on the day of service.
We encourage regular preventative hygiene and exam appointments. Because of our emphasis on good oral care we tend to book up to 6 months in advance for appointments with our hygienist. Please be aware of this when calling in. We will do our best to accomodate your appointment needs and preferences!
It is Dr. Chan's policy to receive direct confirmation for all dental appointments. If we have left a message to confirm your appointment for the next day, we require a call back to confirm that appoitnment by 8am the day of your appointment, or it will be cancelled. We understand that there may be reasons or circumstances that will not allow you to attend your appointment, and would appreciate notice of cancellation at least 24 hours in advance.
If you have a dental emergency please call the office. Dr. Chan does his best to accomodate patients who have pain or sensitivity. It is always appreciated if you call ahead when you have a problem. When you walk in without scheduling a time, other patients who are booked in that time may have to wait to see Dr. Chan, and this is not fair to the scheduled patient. We want to respect your time as well as that of others.
If it is outside our listed office hours and you need emergency dental care, please call the office (604-853-9455) and our message will provide you with phone numbers for after hour advice or care.
